**Fitness Manager Trainee**

**The sneakers you will fill**
As a Fitness Manager Trainee, you will complete a comprehensive training program that, upon successful completion, will set the foundation of success for you in a Fitness Manager role.
As a Fitness Manager, you will nurture an environment in which personal trainers focus on building client relationships and designing training plans that will enable members to realize their goals. You will continually inspire your team to create outstanding experiences for members and clients. You will both train clients one-on-one, as well as develop a team of personal trainers dedicated to discovering clients' individual needs and desires.
**How you will spend your days**
+ Cultivating a team of personal trainers who are motivated by the opportunity to provide comprehensive fitness and lifestyle training programs tailored to diverse client needs
+ Mentoring personal trainers to build and nurture client relationships
+ Demonstrating the value of personal training by creating an outstanding personal training experience for new and existing clients
+ Ensuring all personal trainers are creating and delivering high quality programs for their clients
+ Driving attainment of department targets, including revenue, client acquisition and client and member retention. You will achieve these targets through a continuous, member-centric focus.
+ Leading as a subject matter expert and resource for fitness expertise, serving both members and team members
+ Orchestrating the personal trainers' schedules to ensure effective session availability for clients
+ Validating accurate administration of personal training including client files, measurement tracking, and workout programs
+ Selling personal training services to meet member needs, including achievement of personal monthly sales quotas
+ Conducting personal training, as necessary
+ Contributing directly, and through leadership of personal training team, to deliver our Service Promise of a clean, friendly, and well maintained space for guests and members
**What you bring**
+ Minimum one year of experience as a personal trainer, with minimum of six months of experience in a leadership role preferred. Prior management experience in retail/service/hospitality industry leading 3+ employees preferred.
+ In-depth knowledge of personal training techniques, from assessment to program design.
+ Consultative sales experience preferred.
+ Desire to coach, motivate and inspire team members and members at every stage of their fitness journey.
+ Exceptional, individualized customer service and ability to build a loyal client base through building relationships.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required and gets you in the door, but we'd love to see a Bachelor's degree.
+ Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
+ Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Fitness or related field, or an approved Personal Training Certification (listed below):
AAAI-ISMA, AAPT, ACE, ACSM, AFPA, BOC-ATC, Bryan College, Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research, C.H.E.K, FPTI, Globe University, IFPA, ISSA, NAFC, NASM, NCCPT, NCEP, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NPTI, NSCA, NSPA, PFIT, PTA Global, W.I.T.S.
**Physical Requirements/Work Environment**
+ Must be able to work in environment with occasionally high noise levels. The sound of weights clinking, feet flying across treadmills, and the laughter of lives changing can get loud.
+ Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
+ Daily duties include lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, and moving for prolonged periods of time.
+ Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds of fitness equipment.
+ Must be able to adjust and operate all fitness equipment.
**Travel/Availability**
+ Must be able to travel by car and airplane up to 10% of the time, to join our outstanding training programs, member outreach, team meetings, and more.
+ Full time, with flexible availability across week days, weekends, and holidays to meet team member and client support needs.
